"The Wonderful Sign of Christ's Birth" - Pastor
Howard Hsieh
Lk. 2:1-20
The birth of Christ is a wonderful sign which points to 3
truths:
1. God is sovereign even at the height of evil's power -
Lk. 2:1-6; Prov. 21:1; Dan. 4:17, 34-35
2. God identifies with mankind through the humble birth of His
Son - Lk. 2:7, 10-12; Phil. 2:5-8; Gal.
4:4-5
3. God provides His salvation for all peoples through His Son
- Lk. 2:8-20; Isa. 7:14; Mt. 1:20-23
How should we respond to the message of Christ's birth?
For those of us who are non-believers:
Make room in our hearts for Christ and accept Him into our
lives as our Savior and Lord.
For those of us who are believers:
1) Share with others the meaning of Christ's birth (Lk.
2:17)
2) Glorify and praise God for Christ's birth (Lk. 2:20)
3) Meditate and ponder about Christ in our hearts (Lk. 2:19)

11/29/1998 "To Live" - Dr. Albert
Ting
James 4:13-17
If the Lord will, we will have our lives.
-
Although we do not really have control over our
longevity,
fear not the shadow of death, for the Lord of life has sovereignty
over the longevity of our life.
Let us honor the Lord, and appreciate life while we have it.
Since we have lives, we can choose.
-
Although we often have no control over how life or others would treat
us,
we always have choice over our own life-styles, & over our own
attitude and action toward others & toward the future (even if we have
failed before).
Living is more than survival & avoiding death, let us live
fully & purposefully for the Lord.
